Paracetamol belongs to a group of medicines called pain-killers or analgesics.

 

Product Information

It is used for mild to moderate pain including headache, migraine, nerve pain, toothache, sore throat, period pains and general aches and pains.
It is also used to relieve the symptoms of cold and flu
It is also used to help reduce a fever (high temperature).

How to Use

Age: 6 – 8 years, How Much: One 5 mL spoonful (large end), How often (in 24 hours): 4 times

Age: 8 – 10 years, How Much: One 5 mL spoonful (large end) and one 2.5 ml spoonful (small end), How often (in 24 hours): 4 times

Age: 10 – 12 years, How Much: Two 5 mL spoonful (large end), How often (in 24 hours): 4 times

Age: 12 – 16 years, How Much: Two to three 5 mL spoonfuls (large end), How often (in 24 hours): 4 times

How it Works

Suspension possesses analgesic (pain-reliever) and antipyretic (lowers body temperature) properties. It provides relief by blocking certain chemical messengers and pathways in the brain that send signals about pain and fever.

  • The metabolism of Acyclovir can be decreased when combined with Acetaminophen.
  • The metabolism of Acetaminophen can be decreased when combined with Adagrasib.
  • The metabolism of Acetaminophen can be increased when combined with Adalimumab.

Quick Tips

Your child should not take more than four doses of this medicine in 24 hours, so wait up to 6 hours between doses.
Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects.
Inform the doctor if your child has liver disease as the dose may need to be adjusted.

What if you forgot to take

If you have missed giving any dose of this medicine, then give it as soon as you remember. If it's already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule. Follow the dosing schedule regularly & take this medicine at regular intervals.
