Description

Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Domperidone+Omeprazole is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease.

Diarrhea, Headache, Flatulence, Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation, Abdominal pain, Fundic gland polyps.

Domperidone + Omeprazole is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Omeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

• 3. The metabolism of Acenocoumarol can be decreased when combined with Omeprazole.

"It is a well-tolerated medicine and provides relief for a long time. Some healthy tips to prevent acidity from happening: Avoid excessive intake of carbonated beverages/soft drinks, citrus juices, fried food, caffeinated beverages like tea and coffee. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Avoid eating late at night or before bedtime. Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever or stomach pain that does not go away."

If you have missed giving any dose of this medicine, then give it as soon as you remember. If it's already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule. Follow the dosing schedule regularly & take this medicine at regular intervals.

"Q. Is it safe to use Domperidone+Omeprazole?

Ans. Yes, Domperidone+Omeprazole is safe for most of the patients. However, in some patients it may cause common side effects like diarrhea, stomach pain, flatulence, dryness in the mouth, dizziness, headache and other uncommon and rare side effects. Inform your doctor if you experience any persistent problem while taking this medicine.

Q. What are the contraindications of Domperidone+Omeprazole?

Ans. The use of Domperidone+Omeprazole is considered to be harmful in patients with a known hypersensitivity to omeprazole or domperidone or any other inactive ingredients present in the medicine. Cautious use is advised in patients with underlying kidney or liver disease.
