Gasvac 300 is a medicine containing Ranitidine which is a histamine H2 receptor blocker that reduces the amount of acid made in the stomach. It relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
Histamine H2 receptor blockers like ranitidine work by selectively blocking the action of histamine on the H2 receptors found on the cells in the stomach lining. By inhibiting the action of histamine, ranitidine reduces the secretion of gastric acid, which helps in relieving symptoms and promoting healing of conditions such as gastritis, peptic ulcers, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Gasvac 300 tablet is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) , peptic ulcer and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

If you are taking some other antacid medications, take them 2 hours before or after taking Gasvac 300.
If you have missed giving any dose of Gasvac 300 tablet, then take it as soon as you remember. If it's already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule. Follow the dosing schedule regularly & take this medicine at regular intervals.
Gasvac 300 tablet is usually taken orally, with or without food. For best results, take it exactly as prescribed, often 1 to 2 times daily depending on the condition.
It usually starts to reduce stomach acid within an hour, with full effect in about 2–3 hours.
No, it does not typically cause withdrawal symptoms, but sudden stopping might worsen symptoms of acid reflux or ulcers.
Some medications may interact with ranitidine. Always inform your healthcare provider of all drugs and supplements you are taking.
