Gasvac Syrup is a medicine that reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes. It is used to treat and prevent heartburn, indigestion, and other symptoms caused by too much acid in the stomach. It is also used to treat and prevent stomach ulcers, reflux disease, and some rarer conditions.
Gasvac Syrup, with a composition of 150 mg of ranitidine per dose, is a medication that belongs to the class of histamine H2 receptor blockers. This medication works by reducing the production of stomach acid, thereby alleviating symptoms associated with excessive acid production in the stomach.
Gasvac syrup contains ranitidine which is a type of antihistamine that blocks the release of stomach acid. It is used to treat stomach or intestinal ulcers. It can relieve ulcer pain and discomfort, and the heartburn from acid reflux.

2) Some healthy tips to prevent acidity from happening:
- Avoid excessive intake of carbonated beverages/soft drinks, citrus juices, fried food, caffeinated beverages like tea and coffee.
- Avoid alcohol and smoking.
- Avoid eating late at night or before bedtime.
- Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever or stomach pain that does not go away.
If you have missed giving any dose of this medicine, then give it as soon as you remember. If it's already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule. Follow the dosing schedule regularly & take this medicine at regular intervals.
There is limited data available on whether Gasvac 75mg Syrup can be used for the long term or not, but it is a relatively safe medicine. You should take it for the duration advised by your doctor. Do not take over-the-counter Gasvac 75mg Syrup for longer than 2 weeks unless advised by your doctor.
Gasvac 75mg Syrup may be taken with or without food. It can be taken once daily before bedtime or twice daily in the morning and before bedtime, as recommended.
