Dapaflunic Trio 500 is a sodium-glucose contransporter 2 inhibitor. It is used to manage blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes. Dapagliflozin helps remove excess glucose through urine, while Metformin lowers glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity. Sitagliptin enhances body’s natural ability to lower blood sugar level by increasing insulin release and decreasing glucagon levels. Together, these three agents work through different mechanisms to provide effective glycemic control, especially when diet, exercise, and monotherapy are insufficient.

1) If you get unusually thirsty, pass urine more frequently, or feel tired, let your doctor know. These are signs that there is too much sugar in your blood, and your dose may need adjusting.
2) Avoid excessive alcohol as it increases the risk of lactic acidosis with Metformin.
3) Monitor blood glucose regularly to detect any hypoglycemia early, especially if combined with other glucose-lowering drugs.
If you miss a dose of Dapaflunic trio 500 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
