Niclocaine sugar-free gel is an antacid. It relieves symptoms like acidity, heartburn, stomach pain, etc., associated with stomach ulcers and acid reflux. It contains a combination of aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and oxetacaine.
This gel works by neutralising the acid in the stomach and relieving pain due to ulcers. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide work by reacting with the acid in the stomach and neutralising it, thereby reducing acidity and heartburn. Oxetacaine acts like a local anaesthetic and relieves the pain associated with ulcers.

Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting

Mucaine gel syrup should not be used in patients with severe kidney-related disorders. The safety and effectiveness of Mucaine mint sugar-free gel in children have not been established. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to any of its components.
You may sometimes experience side effects like rash, constipation and diarrhoea while on treatment with Mucaine gel. Please report to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
It is better to take it after food or as suggested by the doctor.
Some healthy tips to prevent acidity from happening:
Avoid taking hot tea, coffee, spicy food, and chocolate. Instead, have cold milk and cold coffee as these help neutralize the acid in the stomach.
Avoid alcohol and smoking.
Avoid eating late at night or before bedtime.
If you have missed giving any dose of this medicine, then give it as soon as you remember. If it's already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule. Follow the dosing schedule regularly & take this medicine at regular intervals.
