Tolvalas is a medicine containing tolvaptan it is used in the treatment of low levels of sodium in blood. It treats ythe low blood sodium levels which can be caused due to conditions such as cirrhosis, heart failure and syndrome of appropriate antidiuretic hormone (SIADH).
Tolvalas contains tolvaptan 15mg, it is an oral vasopressin V2-receptor antagonists. It works by increasing the free water excretion without significant loss of electrolytes, thereby helping to correct low sodium levels in the blood.
Tolvalas tablet is used in the treatment of low levels of sodium in blood. It helps in the syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone (SIADH).
Some common side effects of Tolvalas are :
Increased thirst, Dry mouth, Frequent urination (polyuria), Excessive urination at night (nocturia), weakness or fatigue.
Tolvalas 15 mg should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water. It can be taken with or without food. Do not change the dose or stop the medication without consulting your healthcare provider.
Tolvalas 15mg Tablet is a vasopressin antagonist. It works by blocking the effect of the hormone vasopressin in the body. This increases urine production, reduces the amount of water in the blood and raises the blood sodium level.

Take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is the time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and do not double it.
