Udinic tablet is a formulation containing ursodeoxycholic acid is a medicine belonging to the category of Hepatoprotective agents. It is used to dissolve certain gallstones and prevent them from forming. It also helps in breakdown of cholestrol that has converted into stones in your gall bladder, thereby dissolving the stones. It is used to treat a type of liver disease called primary biliary cirrhosis.
Udinic tablet contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid 300 mg, a bile acid used to manage certain liver and biliary tract disorders. It helps improve bile flow and reduces cholesterol saturation in bile, thereby supporting liver function and bile acid balance.
Udinic tablet is used in the treatment of gallbladder stones and in the treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis.
Some common side effects of udinic tablet includes - abdominal pain, diarrhea and dyspepsia.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Udiliv 300 Tablet should be taken with or after food.
Udinic 300mg Tablet is a hepatoprotective medication. It works by reducing the amount of cholesterol in the blood and helps dissolve gallbladder stones that are composed mainly of cholesterol. It also improves liver enzymes, protects liver cells from injury caused due to toxic bile acids, and improves liver function.

1) Udinic 300mg tablet should be taken after meals with the glass of water or milk.
2) Eat healthy diet, exercise regularly and avoid alcohol intake.
3) Do not stop taking the medication without talking to your doctor.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the next dose skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to compensate.
Udinic 300mg Tablet is usually considered to be a safe and effective medicine. However, this medicine may have some common side effects, such as diarrhea. If diarrhea occurs, your doctor may reduce the dose, and if it persists, your treatment may be discontinued. Additionally, using this medicine as a long-term therapy may also affect your liver enzyme levels.
Udinic 300mg Tablet acts on the liver and gets concentrated in the bile secreted from the liver. This, as a result, suppresses the synthesis and secretion of cholesterol by the liver, thereby decreasing the cholesterol levels in bile. This medicine also acts by stopping the intestines from absorbing the bile salts and cholesterol. So, the reduced cholesterol saturation in the bile from the liver leads to the gradual dissolving of cholesterol from gallstones, leading to a decrease in size and their eventual dissolution. It also reduces elevated liver enzyme levels by increasing the bile flow through the liver, hence protecting the liver cells.
