Xinoclav ODT is a combination medicine used in the treatment of resistant bacterial infections. It consists of Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin interferes with bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death.
Clavulanic acid inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria, protecting amoxicillin from degradation.
Together, they treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including those resistant to amoxycillin alone.

Do not skip any dose, complete the full treatment course even if you feel better. Take it with food, preferably at the same time everyday.
If any dose of Xinoclav ODT is missed, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for next dose, skip the missed dose and follow the regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Clavulanic acid doesn’t treat infections directly. Its role is to block bacterial resistance enzymes (beta-lactamases) that would inactivate amoxycillin. A small amount is sufficient to do this job. More clavulanic acid doesn't improve effectiveness and may increase side effects, especially gastrointestinal and liver-related ones.
No. Xinoclav ODT is an antibiotic, and it only works against bacterial infections, not viruses.
It’s best to avoid alcohol. While there's no direct interaction, alcohol may increase the risk of side effects like stomach upset or dizziness.
