Drotiwel tablet is a combination medicine containing Drotaverine and mefenamic acid. It is used in the treatment of abdominal pain.
Drotiwel tablet is a combination medicine, containing drotaverine and mefenamic acid. It provides effective relief from both pain and muscle spasms like abdominal cramp and menstrual pain.
Drotiwel tablet is used in the treatment of following conditions such as :
Dysmenorrhea, Abdominal cramps/ spasms, Gastrointestinal discomfort.
Common side effects include abdominal discomfort, nausea or bloating, headache, dizziness
In the dosage as advised by the doctor. It is to be taken with food.
Drotiwel Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Drotaverine and Mefenamic Acid, which relieves abdominal pain and cramps.
Drotaverine is an anti-spasmodic medicine which relieves contractions (spasms) associated with smooth muscles in the abdomen. Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause abdominal pain and inflammation (swelling).

1) Take Drotiwel tablet with food to prevent an upset stomach.
2) If you get diarrhea while taking this medicine, you should stop taking it and consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Drotiwel tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Drotiwel Tablet is usually used for short term and can be discontinued when your pain is relieved. However, Drotiwel Tablet should be continued if your physician has advised you to do so.
Drotiwel tablet may cause dizziness in some individuals. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how the medication affects you.
Drotiwel is generally prescribed for short-term relief of spasms and pain. Long-term use should only be under medical supervision due to potential side effects.
This medication is usually not recommended for children under 12 years old. Always consult a pediatrician before giving it to children.
