DAPAFLUNIC TRIO 1000 is a combination tablet containing Dapagliflozin 10 mg, Metformin 1000 mg, and Sitagliptin 100 mg. It is used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes by working through three different mechanisms: increasing glucose excretion through urine (Dapagliflozin), reducing glucose production in the liver (Metformin), and enhancing insulin release while lowering glucagon levels (Sitagliptin). This combination is prescribed along with diet and exercise when single or dual therapies are insufficient.
For the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients who require multiple mechanisms of action to achieve optimal glycemic control.
Common side effects include increased urination and risk of genital infections, gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, diarrhea and upper respiratory tract infections.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dapaflunic Trio 1000 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Dapaflunic Trio 1000 Tablet is a combination of three antidiabetic medicines. Dapagliflozin increases urinary glucose excretion and reduces blood glucose levels. Metformin decreases the amount of glucose you absorb from your food and the amount of glucose made by the liver. Metformin also increases the body's response to insulin, a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood. Sitagliptin helps control blood sugar levels by increasing substances (incretins) in the body that make the pancreas release more insulin. It also signals the liver to stop producing sugar (glucose) when there is too much sugar in the blood.

1) If you get unusually thirsty, pass urine more frequently, or feel tired, let your doctor know. These are signs that there is too much sugar in your blood, and your dose may need adjusting.
2) Avoid excessive alcohol as it increases the risk of lactic acidosis with Metformin.
3) Monitor blood glucose regularly to detect any hypoglycemia early, especially if combined with other glucose-lowering drugs.
If you miss a dose of Dapaflunic trio 1000 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
It lowers blood sugar by increasing glucose removal through urine, reducing glucose production in the liver, and boosting insulin release.
It’s best to avoid alcohol to reduce the risk of side effects like low blood sugar or lactic acidosis.
Kidney function should be regularly monitored; dose adjustment or alternative treatments may be needed for impaired kidney function.
