CEFLUV-O is a combination medicine consisting of two antibiotics: Cefixime and Ofloxacin.
Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of the bacteria in the human body.
Ofloxacin works by preventing the bacteria from reproducing and repairing themselves. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
CEFLUV-O is used in the treatment of bacterial infections.
The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, stomach pain, indigestion, and diarrhea.

Do not skip any dose, complete the full treatment course even if you feel better. Take it with food, preferably at the same time everyday.
If any dose of Cefluv-O is missed, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for next dose, skip the missed dose and follow the regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Since there is limited safety information available during pregnancy, CEFLUV-O Tablet should not be used during pregnancy unless it is considered essential by your doctor.
It is unknown whether Cefixime passes into breast milk. Hence, it is advised to discontinue nursing temporarily if you are treated with CEFLUV-O Tablet. If you are taking this medicine while breastfeeding, watch for diarrhoea in your baby.
CEFLUV-O Tablet can cause side effects like confusion, altered consciousness, or feeling less alert. If you experience any of these, do not drive or use machinery.
