HISTAPRED JUNIOR SYRUP

Histapred Junior syrup is a combination formula containing levosalbutamol, ambroxol and guaiphenesin. It is used in the treatment of cough with mucus. It thins mucus in the nose, windpipe and lungs, making it easier to cough out. It also provides relief from runny nose, sneezing, itching, and watery eyes.

Some common side effects include - Nausea, headache and dizziness

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Histapred Junior Syrup may be taken with or without food.

Histapred Junior Syrup is a combination formula containing: Levosalbutamol, Ambroxol and Guaifenesin which relieve cough with mucus. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways.

1) Histapred Junior syrup relieves productive cough, accompanied with mucus that is associated with broncho-pulmonary disorders such as bronchitis, bronchial asthma and emphysema.
2) It may cause dizziness and sleepiness; hence avoid doing task that needs concentration.
3) Stop giving Histapred Junior syrup and inform your doctor if cough persists for more than one week, tends to recur or is accompanied by fever or rash.

If you miss a dose of Histapred Junior Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
