NICCEF-LB 50 Dry Syrup is a pediatric antibiotic & probiotic combination used to treat bacterial infections in children while protecting gut health. It is available in delicious orange flavour to enhance the acceptability and increase palatability.
Niccef LB 50 is a dry syrup containing Cefixime 50mg and lactobacillus 60 million spores. Cefixime works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis while lactobacillus helps in restoring the gut flora and reduce antibiotic associated digestive disturbances. Niccef LB 50 is available as a dry syrup for reconstitution in a pleasant orange flavour, making it easy to administer and improving acceptance in children, as prescribed by a healthcare professional.

NICCEF LB 50 dry syrup is safe and is well-tolerated by the children. However, some common side effects may occur such as - abdominal pain, indigestion, nausea and diarrhea.

Niccef LB 50 is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. By doing so, this medicine stops the infection-causing bacteria from growing further and prevents the infection from spreading without making them resistant to further treatment.The lactobacillus supports the gut health.

1) Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.
2) Give this medicine with food to avoid an upset stomach.
3) Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect.
Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it’s almost time for the next dose. Do not give the double dose to catch up and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.
An extra dose of Niccef LB 50 is unlikely to do harm. However, if you think you have given too much of Niccef LB 50 dry syrup to your child, immediately speak to a doctor. Overdose may cause unwanted side effects and may even worsen your child’s condition.
Some serious side effects of this medicine include persistent vomiting, kidney damage, allergy, diarrhea, and severe gastrointestinal infections. Always consult your child’s doctor for help in such a situation.
Niccef LB 50 dry syrup can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Niccef LB 50 dry syrup. Also, check with your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.
