It helps improve urinary flow and reduce prostate enlargement by addressing both muscle tension in the prostate and hormonal factors contributing to prostate growth.

How to Use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Siloplen-D Capsule should be taken with or after food.

How it Works

Siloplen-D Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Silodosin and Dutasteride, which relieves the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Silodosin is an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so as to allow easy passage of urine. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor which helps in shrinking the prostate gland by decreasing the level of the hormone which helps the prostate gland grow.

Interactions with Drugs

  • 1) Avoid taking it with antihypertensives such as prazosin as it can cause a severe drop in blood pressure
  • 2) Avoid the concomitant use of siloplen-D with sildenafil as it may lead to excessive drop in blood pressure.

Quick Tips

1) You have been prescribed Siloplen-D Capsule to relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
2) Take it approximately 30 minutes after the same meal each day.
3) Siloplen-D Capsule may cause dizziness or blurring of vision. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
4) Do not donate blood for 6 months after taking the last dose of Siloplen-D Capsule.

What if you forgot to take

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the next dose skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to compensate.
