Tabonic DS is a pediatric dry syrup containing cefpodoxime 50mg. It is available in the form of dry powder available with the sterile water for injection for reconstitution. It is commonly given to children for the treatment of wide range of bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, throat infections, nose, lungs and skin infections.
Tabonic DS dry syrup is a pediatric formulation containing Cefpodoxime proxetil 50mg, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It works by stopping bacterial growth and is available as a dry syrup for easy pediatric use. It is effective against infections of the respiratory tract, ear, throat, urinary tract, and skin, caused by susceptible bacteria.
Tabonic DS is used for the treatment of bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, ear infections, throat infections, skin and soft tissue infections.
Some common side effects includes - nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Dissolve the powder in sterile water. Shake well and use. Tabonic DS 50mg Dry Syrup is to be taken with food.

1) Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.
2) Give this medicine with food to avoid an upset stomach.
Do not panic. Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember, but at least 12 hours before the next dose is due.
Tabonic DS dry syrup is used for the treatment of bacterial infections in children.
An extra dose Tabonic DS dry syrup is ulikely to harm. However, if you have given excessive dose of Tabonic DS syrup to your child by mistake, talk to your doctor immediately. As excessive dose may cause some unwanted side effects and may even worsen the condition.
