Tamsuchol 0.4mg is prolonged release tablet formulation containing Tamsulosin 0.4mg. It is an alpha-adrenergic antagonist that is used in the treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia. It helps to relieve symptoms like difficulty in passing urine. However, it does not decrease the size of prostate gland.
Tamsuchol 0.4mg tablet is a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor blocker used in the management of urinary symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It helps relax the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, thereby improving urine flow and reducing urinary discomfort.
Tamsuchol 0.4mg tablet is used for :
- Management of Benign Prostate Hyperplasia.
- Improving urinary flow.
- Reducing symptoms such as :
Difficulty in urine starting, frequent and urgent urination, incomplete bladder emptying.
Tamsuchol 0.4mg is generally well tolerated. However, some possible side effects may occur such as - Dizziness, headache, nasal congestion, abnormal ejaculation and fatigue.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tamsuchol 0.4mg tablet should be taken with or after food.
Tamsuchol 0.4mg tablet contains Tamsulosin which is a selective alpha-1 adrenergic blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles of prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to pass the urine.

1) Take it at the same time daily to get the best results.
2) Tamsuchol tablet may cause dizziness hence avoid driving.
If you miss a dose of Tamsuchol Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
