Telmistroke-H is a combination drug containing telmisartan and hydrochlorthiazide. It is used for the treatment of hypertension.
Telmistroke-H contains telmisartan and hydrochlorthiazide.It is used for controlling high blood pressure. It is generally used when one medicine is not enough to control the blood pressure effectively. By lowering the blood pressure, it helps to reduce risk of having a heart attack or a stroke in the future.
It is used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).
Common side effects include dizziness, fatigue, nausea, diarrhea
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Telmistroke- H tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Telmistroke-H is a combination medicine containing telmisartan and hydrochlorthiazide. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker. It lowers the blood pressure, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly to organs and the heart to pump more effeciently; while Hydrochlorthiazide acts on the proximal region ofdistal convoluted tubule thus reducing the reabsorption of water.

1) Telmistroke-H tablet may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if you experience symptoms such as extreme thirst, dry mouth, muscle weakness.
2) Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, taking Telmistroke-H during pregnancy is unsafe.
3) It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed one and take the next scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for the one you missed. If you often forget doses, it may help to set an alarm to remind you. If not sure, consult your doctor for other ways to help you remember.
If you accidentally take too much of Telmistroke- H Tablet, you may experience symptoms such as low blood pressure, dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, vomiting and rapid heartbeat. However, in some cases slow heartbeat, reduced kidney function including kidney failure (e.g., reduced urine output) have also been reported. If you experience any such symptoms, contact your doctor immediately and seek medical help.
Remember, Telmistroke- H Tablet does not cure your hypertension (high blood pressure) but helps normalize it. You should continue taking this medicine even if your blood pressure is controlled. If you stop taking Telmistroke-H Tablet, your blood pressure could rise back up again. Generally, blood pressure-lowering medicines are to be taken for the rest of your life.
