Niccef-O dry syrup is a combination antibiotic medicine that treats moderate to severe bacterial infections that may affect your child’s eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, bone and joints, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. It can also be used in treating typhoid fever in children and adolescents. It is available in delicious mango flavour.
Niccef-O dry syrup is a pediatric formulation containing cefixime and ofloxacin. It is used in the treatment of moderate to severe bacterial infections such as infections of skin, throat, gastrointestinal and urinary tract infections.
Niccef-O dry syrup is used in the treatment of typhoid fever and in the treatment of other bacterial infections.
Niccef-O dry syrup does not pose any serious side effect and is well tolerated by the children. However, some common side effects that may occur can be Loss of appetite and allergy.
Give this medicine to your child in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Dissolve the powder in sterile water. Shake well and use. Niccef-O dry Syrup is to be taken with food.
Niccef-O is a combination antibiotic containing cefixime and ofloxacin. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) while ofloxacin directly interacts with the genetic material of bacteria. As a consequence, the infection-causing bacteria stop growing further and the spread of the infection is successfully arrested.

1) Complete the full course even if the child feels better

3) Do not skip or double doses
Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it’s almost time for the next dose. Do not give the double dose to catch up and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.
It should be given only if specifically prescribed by a pediatrician, especially in infants below 1 year.
If vomiting occurs within 15–20 minutes, repeat the dose. Otherwise, wait until the next scheduled dose.
